If a student or parent asks the team something that might be useful to others, we try to add it here.
We know some people would rather not bother the team with questions. Our team are always happy to help and would much rather you asked — but if you'd sooner not, hopefully the answers are below.
What are the term dates?
They're on the term dates page, along with information about holiday workshops.
Can I try before I buy?
Yes, absolutely. We don't offer free taster classes, but you can pay for individual classes.
It doesn't really apply to adult classes, which are all pay as you go — you only pay for the classes you attend.
Children's classes are paid by the term in advance. To make sure the class is right for your child, you can pay for the first class on its own. If they like it, you pay for the rest of the term when you come back.
Does my child need a uniform?
Of a sort.
They'll need the appropriate apparel for the class — tap shoes for tap, the ballet outfit for ballet. That's partly so they can learn properly with the right equipment, and partly so the class feels like a team rather than a room of individuals.
We also ask that you invest in a JC Dance branded onesie with your child's name on it. It reinforces that they're part of a group, and it makes quick changes far easier — both between classes and at the annual show.
Whereabouts is JC Dance Academy?
River Road, Warrington — just off Wilderspool Causeway, behind Kwik Fit. We're the only building attached to the park with its own car park, and parking is free for anyone visiting.
