Jenny Corcoran AISTD DDE (CB)(MB)(TB)
Principal
Jenny's journey in dance began at the age of three with ballet, expanding to tap and modern by seven at the Kate Simmons School of Dance. At sixteen she took the Performers & Teachers course there, earning three ISTD teaching qualifications and Advanced 2 in tap, modern and Cecchetti ballet. She also studied Spanish dance to Elementary level, and trained in street and breakdance, commercial, contemporary, pas de deux, jazz, partner work and freestyle.
Her teaching career began at Rondo Ballet School, followed by several years of professional dancing and choreography, then a teaching post at The Hammond School in Chester, where she choreographed multiple productions, prepared students for ISTD exams and was promoted to timetable co-ordinator. After four years she left to pursue her own venture.
JC Dance began with classes and dance camps in various locations, and culminated in her own academy in 2014. Under her guidance it has grown from thirty students to over two hundred. Jenny still teaches after-school clubs and workshops in primary schools, adjudicates competitions across the UK, and is the choreographer for Abba Gold the Concert Show, which tours Europe. With her business partner Jenni Nolan-Owens she launched Dancing Dots Ltd, whose Ballerina Bear and Hip Hop Hippo classes are now taught nationwide.

Jessica Kitchen
Ballet, tap, modern, street & breakdance and pre-school teacher
Jess started dancing at three and trained at Dolphin Dance Studios. She spent six years travelling the world performing on cruise ships for P&O and Cunard, holding roles including Dance Captain and Show Company Manager, and most recently choreographing for Cunard's Queen Elizabeth.
Between contracts she performed in shows and pantomimes at the Liverpool Empire; her favourite was Chicago at Oldham Coliseum. Throughout it all she never stopped teaching, and finds the most joy in watching students progress and reach their goals.
We're very lucky to have Miss Jess on the faculty — she brings an energy and drive that passes straight on to the children.
