ISTD modern

Modern is the most athletic of the three graded syllabuses we teach — travelling, turning, kicks and jumps, set to music students actually want to dance to.

It runs from Primary at age four through the ISTD grades. Students who take modern alongside ballet tend to progress faster in both: ballet supplies the placement, modern supplies the attack.

Examinations are Ofqual-accredited and, at the higher grades, can carry UCAS points.
